WHAT DO WE NEED TOOLS FOR HOW AND WHEN WE USE THEM
At bna/, we work on brands, combining strategic and design competences. This enables us to configure projects more flexibly without breaking them artificially into strategic and creative phases.
We implement projects that are purely strategic or entirely devoted to designing brand visual system but also projects that combine elements of both worlds. These are the ones we like best.
We are far from fetishising our tools. We use them to structure the process or perform a meaningful dissection. Most our tools have been developed as “best practice” records, which document our practical experience in working on brands.
This is why they do not restrain us: we only use what we believe would come in handy for the project at hand, we adjust the tools to the situation and work on new tools when we need them.
The Brand Toolkit of bna/ is a record of our current thinking of the brand and what is necessary to work in a comprehensive manner. How will it look like tomorrow? We don’t know yet…
